Arlington’s fall book sale returns with bargains—and a different way in

The October 22–25 sale supports library programs; shoppers should check garage access before arriving.

Arlington readers can stock their shelves while supporting library services when the Friends of the Arlington Public Library’s fall sale returns to Central Library, 1015 N. Quincy Street.

The October 22 opening is for Friends members, from 3 to 7:45 p.m. Public shopping runs October 23–25, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; Sunday is half-price day. Books, games and puzzles are among the offerings, with proceeds supporting library collections and programs.

Plan the approach

The garage becomes the sale space, so it will have no visitor parking. Its ramp is also closed to pedestrians. Use the library’s G2/3 elevator or garage stairwells instead.

The Quincy Street entrance is temporarily closed for building work. Visitors should use the 10th Street or surface-lot entrances. Bring bags or boxes; major credit cards and cash are accepted, but checks are not.

The library’s sale guide includes accessible parking, specialty-book hours and transit details. Find more local opportunities in Your Community.
