Floyd Radio Show opens a new season with the Whitetop Mountain Band
The October 3 program begins a four-show season that will include the series’ 100th installment.
Floyd’s musical calendar is making room for a format that mixes live performance with the pleasures of old-time radio. The Floyd Radio Show begins its 14th season on October 3 with the Whitetop Mountain Band at the Floyd Country Store.
The program combines traditional music with radio plays, comedy and jingles. Kelley Breiding and Ralph Berrier are named as hosts for the new season.
Four dates, one milestone
The schedule continues December 12 with the New Ballards Branch Bogtrotters, February 6 with Up Jumped Trouble, and April 3 with Twin Creeks Stringband. The organizers identify the December performance as the series’ 100th show.
