Norris Bridge replacement hearings give residents two October opportunities to weigh in
VDOT has posted design materials and will accept comments through November 2.
Residents who depend on Route 3 between Lancaster and Middlesex counties can review the proposed replacement for the Robert O. Norris Jr. Bridge before two October public hearings.
VDOT says the meetings will use an open-house format, with project representatives available to discuss the design. Both sessions will present the same information.
Where to participate
The first is Wednesday, October 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lancaster High School, 100 Visionary Way in Irvington. The second is Thursday, October 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Clare Walker Middle School, 6814 General Puller Highway in Locust Hill.
Materials and an online survey are available through VDOT’s hearing announcement. Residents can also comment at either meeting, email fred.comments@vdot.virginia.gov, or use the mailing instructions in that announcement. Comments received by November 2 will enter the public record for this process.
