Vienna Oktoberfest pairs free admission with an easier ride into town
The October 3 festival offers three stages, children’s activities and a free shuttle through the day.
Vienna’s Church Street area becomes a fall gathering place Saturday, October 3, when Oktoberfest runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The festival spreads across Church, Dominion and Mill streets and the Town Green, with three stages, food vendors, beer and wine, and children’s activities. It is an outing that can be built around a performance, a meal or time exploring the town center.
Plan the arrival first
The organizer lists free shuttles from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including stops at Vienna Metro North and James Madison High School. The rideshare drop-off is 215 Mill Street NE.
Adults planning to purchase alcohol should bring a physical ID: the event says digital IDs will not be accepted. Free entry does not mean food and drinks are included.
Use the official festival website for current entertainment and transportation details. Check again before departure in case arrangements change. More weekend plans: Things to Do.
