Virginia Beach’s Boardwalk Art Show returns for its 70th edition
More than 160 artists and a family art park bring an October 9–11 cultural weekend to the Oceanfront.
Virginia Beach’s boardwalk becomes an outdoor art destination October 9–11 as Virginia MOCA presents the 70th annual Boardwalk Art Show.
More than 160 artists are listed for the stretch between 23rd and 33rd streets. Show hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Sunday.
Build the visit around more than booths
The Art Park at 31st Street adds demonstrations, performances and hands-on activities during the weekend. Its hours differ from the main show: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Sunday.
The VMFA’s traveling art exhibition is also scheduled along the boardwalk at 26th Street, with free admission during show hours. Visitors can combine browsing with a closer look at the exhibition rather than trying to see everything in one pass.
Use the organizer’s current schedule for artist listings, transportation and performance times. The show is on the Oceanfront, not at the museum’s Wesleyan Drive building. More cultural outings: Music, Arts & Entertainment.
