Waterford Fair opens Friday with crafts, historic homes and a full-weekend pass

The October 2–4 event offers three days of exploring western Loudoun’s historic village.

Waterford turns into a walkable celebration of craft and local history this weekend. The Waterford Fair runs October 2–4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with artisan demonstrations, historic-property tours, live music and activities for children.

The appeal is the combination: visitors can watch traditional skills at work, explore village properties and make room for performances between stops. Proceeds support the Waterford Foundation’s preservation and educational work.

Tickets and practical details

General admission covers all three days. Adult passes are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate; online processing fees apply. Children 12 and under enter free with a paid adult. Parking is included, while food, purchases and certain workshops cost extra.

Plan for hills, grass and uneven streets. The organizer warns that most historic homes are not wheelchair accessible, and publishes accessible parking, drop-off and lift-equipped shuttle information. Review that guidance for your needs before choosing an itinerary.

There will be no ATMs at the fair. Bring cash if you expect to make cash purchases, and check any advance reservation requirements for individual programs.
