Auria’s planned Reston hub pairs 78 new jobs with mission-system testing
The aerospace and national-security company plans a $1.8 million East Coast headquarters investment in Fairfax County.
Auria plans to put an East Coast headquarters and mission integration center in Reston, adding a testing and collaboration site near its government and commercial customers. Virginia’s October 27 project announcement puts the planned investment at $1.8 million and the number of new jobs at 78.
The company already operates in Warrenton. Chief executive Damian DiPippa said Northern Virginia is becoming its largest employment footprint, making Reston a complement to that existing operation. He described a center where teams would develop, test, demonstrate and integrate command-and-control and mission capabilities.
Auria was formed in 2024 from several national-security and space-technology businesses. Its work includes satellite communications, space operations, cybersecurity and software for satellite scheduling and mission planning, according to the state announcement.
Virginia will support recruitment and employee training through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program. VEDP and the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority worked on the project.
The announcement describes planned investment and hiring, rather than completed job creation. It gives no opening date or hiring timetable. For Reston, the concrete addition is a proposed mission-integration workplace alongside a headquarters function, not simply a change of corporate mailing address.
