Bill Meador built a Roanoke agency around the ability to compare

When Bill Meador opened his own insurance agency in 2012, he had already spent seven years in the industry. He chose an independent model, giving his Roanoke office the ability to seek policies from several insurers rather than representing only one.

That choice remains central to Bill Meador Insurance Agency. Its work includes personal coverage for homes and vehicles, business insurance and life insurance. The variety matters to an agent whose clients arrive with different properties, responsibilities and questions about what they need to protect.

Meador is the principal agent and owner. Beyond the office, his professional connections include the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors, where he serves as an affiliate and committee member. He also manages the Roanoke Valley Business Professionals’ Organization, a networking group that brings another set of local business relationships into his working life.

For customers, the agency’s role continues after a policy is selected. It helps with the claims process and communication with insurers. The same office that discusses coverage at the beginning of a relationship can therefore remain a point of contact when a customer needs to use it.
