Brock Construction brings trade experience to Farmville homes

A deteriorated deck does not always call for a different house; sometimes it calls for careful rebuilding of the place where people already live. Brock Construction’s residential portfolio includes just that kind of work, showing a worn structure replaced with a renewed outdoor space.

The Farmville company was founded by Ian Brock in 2013. His career began in electrical work in the early 2000s and took him from laborer to a vice-presidential role before he established his own construction business.

That progression gives the company’s story a foundation in both fieldwork and management. Its residential projects include home additions as well as repairs, with design, development and fabrication all part of the work described for an addition project.

The deck example is more contained but no less specific. Brock removed and revised a structure with severe rot, rebuilding it for continued use. The completed project shows wood rails and stairs connecting the home to its wooded surroundings.

A growing team supports the company’s work. Senior foreman Thomas Copeland has been with the business from its beginning. Lead carpenter Tim Lin and assistant project manager Nash McCormick joined in 2025, adding roles that connect on-site craftsmanship with coordination.

Brock’s wider practice includes commercial and institutional work, but its residential portfolio retains a clear local purpose: creating and improving homes in and around Farmville. The company also describes plans for area spec homes, extending its work from individual renovations toward new housing projects.
