Managing Director William “Will” Davis joined Davenport in October 2020 after 15 years as a senior financial advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors. A Virginia Intermont College graduate, he works with clients on managing and transferring wealth, including planning for retirement, education expenses and other individual goals.
His background gives the office a connection to Southwest Virginia that extends beyond its address. Davis studied business administration and management locally, then built a career helping people make decisions about their investments. At Davenport, his planning work begins with the client’s circumstances and goals, rather than a single approach for every household.
Olivia “Nikki” Kennedy brings another kind of local experience. Before moving into financial services, she spent 16 years teaching middle school Spanish in Washington County Public Schools. The Emory & Henry College graduate joined Davenport in October 2020 and now serves as an associate vice president and registered client service associate.
Kennedy helps with account opening, maintenance and day-to-day questions. Those responsibilities give a financial relationship continuity between major planning conversations: the forms, changes and requests that still need a knowledgeable person’s attention.
Financial advisor Kyle King is also part of the Abingdon office. Together, the local associates serve clients in Southwest Virginia from a branch positioned close to Interstate 81 and the historic downtown district.
The result is a practice with identifiable people handling distinct parts of the client relationship. For residents exploring retirement planning or the transition of family wealth, the office offers a local starting point for a substantive discussion.
