Elite Custom Homes & Remodeling brings two generations of experience to Winchester projects

A covered deck changes the relationship between a house and its yard. In Elite Custom Homes & Remodeling’s project gallery, a timber deck and roof extend a home outward, with stairs linking the raised platform to the ground below.

It is one example of the Winchester-area company’s residential work. Elite handles custom homes and remodeling, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements and outdoor living spaces. The business describes two generations and more than 20 years of experience behind its work.

That range brings it into homes at different moments. A custom build starts with a new structure; a remodel begins with what is already there. A deck or covered outdoor space adds another kind of project, connecting construction to the way a household uses its property.

Elite’s process starts with goals, budget and timing, then moves into plans and permits. Construction coordination and updates follow, with walkthroughs and final inspection forming part of the handover. Those stages give the work a sequence beyond the visible act of building.

The company identifies itself as a Class A contractor. Its project portfolio provides the more tangible counterpart to that qualification: examples of the residential spaces it undertakes and the materials used to create them.

For the covered deck pictured in its gallery, the essential elements are easy to see—posts, rails, a roof and a stairway working together to make an additional outdoor area. It is a modest example of the larger purpose of residential remodeling: adapting a house to its occupants’ plans.

Elite Custom Homes & Remodeling operates from North Frederick Pike in Winchester. Homeowners can contact the company to discuss a new build, renovation or outdoor project.
