Nua is a division of Charlottesville Dermatology, with the medical spa located down the hall from the general dermatology practice. Its founder, Dr. Anna Magee, established her private practice in Charlottesville in 1994 after completing dermatology residency training in Dallas.
Magee's connection to patient care reaches further back. Raised in County Wicklow, Ireland, she helped in her family's pharmacy before pursuing medicine. Nua's name carries a link to that background: the practice explains that it draws on the Irish word for new or fresh, honoring her heritage while reflecting the spa's focus on renewal.
