Two insurance specialties share a front door in downtown Galax
Paisley Insurance and Chestnut Creek Insurance bring health, life, home and business coverage into one local office.
A family can arrive at the same Galax office with very different questions: how to insure a first car, what a health plan covers, or how to protect a growing business. Paisley Insurance Agency and Chestnut Creek Insurance Services divide that work across complementary specialties at 108 West Oldtown Street.
Chestnut Creek handles property and casualty coverage, including homes, automobiles, motorcycles, antique vehicles and businesses. Paisley's services concentrate on life and health insurance, including individual and group health plans, dental coverage, disability insurance and Medicare-related options. The two operations work together, giving clients a local place to discuss needs that do not always fit into a single category.
Owner and agent Diane Wilson's own career spans both sides of the office. She began in life and health insurance in 2004 and added property and casualty licensing in 2009. Sharon Roop entered the property and casualty field in 2010. The team also includes Angel Harmon, whose insurance career began in 2021, and Taylor Phipps, who joined the profession in 2025.
The business traces its history to 1999. Today, its range of services reflects the overlapping responsibilities of households and small companies. An employer may need to discuss commercial vehicles and employee health benefits; a family may be reviewing both a home policy and life insurance. Having those conversations within one office is the organizing idea behind the partnership.
The team works with multiple insurance products, with recommendations shaped by the client's circumstances and the terms available from insurers. For Galax residents, the point of contact remains a downtown office where different coverage questions can be brought together and considered as part of the same picture.
