St. Patrick Preschool builds a morning around discovery in Lexington
A morning at St. Patrick Preschool is designed to leave room for both a shared story and a child’s own discovery. Circle time and small-group lessons sit alongside self-directed learning centers, with outdoor play and short walks when the weather allows.

The Lexington preschool has served the community since 2006 under the direction of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Its program brings language, math, science, music and art into a morning schedule, combining familiar routines with opportunities for children to choose, explore and create.
Preschool director Susan Kearney and teacher Brittany Siperko lead the educational staff. The school’s faith-based mission includes compassion and care for creation, while its admissions policy welcomes children of different religions and backgrounds.
Families can choose a three-, four- or five-day weekly schedule, with attendance days kept consistent through the school year. Hours run from 8:20 to 11:40 a.m., making this a morning preschool program rather than full-day childcare. The schedule is an important part of the fit for families arranging work, transportation or care later in the day.
Inside the classroom, structured lessons are balanced with unstructured play. Community-based field trips and seasonal activities extend learning beyond the room. Those experiences are part of the school’s plan for connecting early learning with the place children call home.
The preschool follows an academic calendar running from after Labor Day to Memorial Day, with holidays and weather closures tied to area school calendars. Families considering enrollment can contact the school about current availability, program schedules and readiness requirements. Children must meet the age and independent-toileting requirements described in its admissions information.
