Star photography at Natural Bridge or colonial games at Belle Isle: two November family outings
At Natural Bridge, the challenge is getting a camera to record stars.
At Natural Bridge, the challenge is getting a camera to record stars. At Belle Isle, it is turning everyday objects into games. These two ranger programs suit different kinds of family outing, particularly when it comes to reserving a spot.
Natural Bridge’s November 6 photography session runs from 5 to 7 p.m. A phone camera is enough. Participants meet at the visitor center, then ride a shuttle to Cedar Creek for practice. Space is limited, and the park requires advance payment by phone at 540-254-0795. Admission is $7 for ages 13 and older and $4 for younger children.
Belle Isle’s November 28 program at its Lancaster camp store is easier to fit into a day already under way. The hour of colonial games starts at 1 p.m. and takes walk-ins. Standard park admission or parking applies, with no extra program charge.
