The move from New Jersey came before the opening of a landscape-supply business on Kings Highway. In April 2001, Willard Fraser opened Tumbleweed Gardens in the Fredericksburg area, bringing experience in the industry that began in 1986.
Today the family-owned business supplies materials for projects around Fredericksburg, Stafford and King George. Its yard serves customers who want to collect a load themselves and those who need materials brought to a property. Installation and mulch spreading are available by request, extending the work beyond the point of sale.
A homeowner and a commercial landscaper can both buy mulch in bulk. Tumbleweed carries hardwood and pine mulch, with red, brown and black among the choices. Pickup and delivery give those customers different ways to organize a project, particularly when moving the material is part of the job.
Stone brings another set of choices. The business lists Pennsylvania fieldstone and flagstone alongside West Mountain brown quarry wall stone. Some materials are offered by the pallet or half-pallet.
