Wytheville Dental Group brings Virginia roots and rural-care experience to its practice
The dentists at Wytheville Dental Group arrived through different schools and communities, but several parts of their stories return to the same theme: bringing dental care to the places they know.

Zach Jones grew up in Middlesex, on Virginia's coastal side, before studying at the University of Virginia and earning his dental degree at the University of Louisville. During dental school, a community outreach scholars program gave him experience providing care in rural Kentucky. He then completed an additional year in an advanced general-dentistry residency at the Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Clinic through Ballad Health.
Chris Davenport's path began closer to Wytheville. A Glade Spring native, he studied at the University of Virginia's College at Wise and earned his dental degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013. His work has included volunteering with Missions of Mercy and Remote Area Medical projects in Wise and Smyth counties.
Sara Holston brings another Virginia connection. Raised in Pulaski, she studied at Virginia Tech before attending dental school at VCU. Her emphasis on trust, comfort and understanding adds to a practice whose team describes continuing education as an ongoing part of its work.
At the West Fulton Street office, that combined experience supports services ranging from preventive care to restorative dentistry, dental implants and emergency appointments. Patients can discuss a routine need or a more involved concern with the practice, with treatment determined through an individual clinical assessment.
The work also depends on the people around the dentists. Office management, insurance coordination, dental assisting and hygiene each have a place in the team's organization. Those roles help connect the appointment itself with the scheduling, information and follow-through that patients experience before and afterward.
Wytheville Dental Group's story is therefore about more than a set of procedures. It is a group of professionals bringing different training and community experiences into a local practice. Rural-care work, Southwest Virginia roots and continuing education form part of the background behind the everyday appointments at its Wytheville office.
